Comparison arrives without warning. The Buddhists say it steals joy. Markets prove that over the long run, it steals capital too.
Envy pushes investors into risks they never meant to take. It whispers that the crowd is safety. That the rally is forever. That missing out is the real danger. But that’s when mistakes compound and that’s when positioning drifts. This is my caution to myself, and my caution to you. If you ignore these lessons, your future returns will pay for it.
